How We Track Prices

Data Sources

RamRadar monitors RAM prices across 6 major retailers: Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, B&H Photo, eBay, and Walmart. We use a combination of official APIs and automated data collection to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Amazon pricing data is collected via the Keepa API and Product Advertising API, ensuring the most accurate and up-to-date prices for thousands of DDR4 and DDR5 memory kits.

Update Frequency

Prices are updated on a regular schedule to balance freshness with reliability:

• Amazon: Every hour via automated polling
• Best Buy, B&H Photo, Newegg: Every 6 hours
• eBay, Walmart: Every 6 hours via API
• Community deals: Every 30 minutes from Reddit

What We Track

For every RAM kit in our database, we collect and display:

• Current price — The latest price from each retailer
• All-time low (ATL) — The lowest price we've ever recorded
• All-time high (ATH) — The highest recorded price
• Price history — Full historical chart with 30d, 90d, 180d, 1y, and all-time views
• Price per GB — Calculated value metric to compare kits of different sizes
• Deal score — Our 1-10 rating based on ATL proximity, price trend, and value

Price Alerts

Set a target price on any product and we'll email you when the price drops to or below your target. Alerts are checked every hour when new prices arrive. We never share your email address — it's used solely for price notifications.

Accuracy Commitment

We strive for the highest accuracy in our pricing data. Prices shown are typically within minutes of the latest available data. However, retailer prices can change at any time — always verify the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing. If you notice a pricing discrepancy, please let us know.
