Capacity is the spec that pays

The uncomfortable 2026 caveat: memory is the most inflated line item in the build. There is a quiet bonus: most 32GB modules are dual-rank — two banks of chips the controller can interleave between — which typically adds a few percent of real throughput over single-rank sticks at identical timings.
